Kusadasi, meaning “Bird Island” which is now a booming tourist resort began as a small town stop-over point because of its convenient location. It is now one of the most popular resorts due to its close proximity to the airport, ancient sites, affordable accommodation, its huge choice of restaurants and of course its never-ending night life.
Another attraction in the resort is ‘Pigeon Island’ which houses an old castle, once used as a “look out” which has been restored and is now connected to the mainland by a pedestrian causeway. One can enjoy a relaxing drink there in a cafe-bar with a view to remember.
