Day 1 Gallipoli Battlefields
Depart for the Gallipoli peninsula early morning to one of the most emotionally touching places inTurkey, today we visit the WWI Battlefields of Gallipoli including Lone Pineand Chunuk Bair Memorials, ANZAC Cove, Johnston’s Jolly, The Nek, originaltrenches and tunnels. Overnight Canakkale (D)
Day 2 Troy,Acropolis of Pergamum
This morning, step back in time as we visit Troy, homeof the famed Trojan Horse. Then we tour the magnificent acropolis of Pergamum.Its impressive temples and Library made Pergamum a renowned cultural andpolitical centre in its time. Overnight Kusadasi (B, D)
Day 3 Ephesus,Kusadasi
Absorb yourself in history today with a guided tour ofEphesus and a visit to the site of the Temple of Artemis. Feel the mysticalatmosphere of the ancient city and theatre before continuing to the formerGreek village of Sirince, famous for its fruit wines. Carpet weaving has longtraditions in Turkey and at the carpet village we learn how the carpets aremade by hand and what determines their value.Overnight Kusadasi (B, D)
Day 4 Pamukkale, Hierapolis
This morning we will enjoy a display of locallyhandcrafted leather goods before heading to the the magnificent white calciumterraces, known as Travertines, in Pamukkale where we also tour the ancientcity of Hierapolis. Take a dip, amongst ancient columns, in the hot springsthat were used in Roman times for their therapeutic powers. Overnight Pamukkale(B, D)
Day 5 Bursa, Istanbul
Today you head back to Istanbul, passing through ruralTurkey and ancient Bursa to visit the famous Green Mosque and explore the SilkBazaar. Upon arrival in Istanbul we will transfer you to your hotel and yourtour concludes.(B)
